Player Spotlight The reigning U.S. Women’s Open champion, Paula Creamer has won 11 tournaments, including nine LPGA Tour events. Born in Pleasanton, Creamer joined the LPGA Tour in 2005, winning four titles and was named LPGA Rookie of the Year. Creamer won twice in 2007 and four times in 2008. Despite battling a thumb injury that required surgery, Creamer battled back. After a four-month hiatus she returned to the LPGA Tour in June and, in just her third tournament back, claimed the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open title at Oakmont this past July.
